Stage Artz Temporary Closure

To our Stage Artz family –

In order to help contain COVID-19 and ensure the safety of our community, the NSW government has announced that all non-essential activities should be cancelled.  Consequently, we will be temporarily closing Stage Artz Performing Arts School, effective from today.

I had the opportunity to speak to many of our students in class last week about the Coronavirus situation. They were so very disappointed and sad at the prospect of missing out on classes and performances over the next months. I have assured the students that, instead of being sad, they should look forward to the exciting plans we have for when we return. The teachers and I will be planning some sensational projects, performances and workshops to raise everybody’s spirits! These plans will go ahead as soon as the Coronavirus situation has settled down and we are advised that we are safe to return to classes/rehearsals.

We are still hopeful and looking forward to staging our Annual Charity Production in 2020 in some way, shape or form. As with all things Stage Artz, we will keep monitoring what is happening with COVID-19 and make a decision at a later date.

We are very grateful to the families who have already paid their Term 1 invoices.  To make up for your lost class time this term, we will be organising special workshops with all of your Stage Artz teachers and mentors on board, and a performance for your friends and family at the end of the day! Those who cannot make the workshop date will be offered a 3 week credit on the first invoice after we return. For anyone who hasn’t yet paid the Term 1 invoice, we are asking if you could please help us out by joining the others in paying the complete invoice now and knowing that you will be reimbursed when Stage Artz resumes. The money we receive from the Term 1 invoices will help us to see through the difficult time ahead and prepare a big and exciting return for our students.
