Stage Artz  – Classes return in Term 3!

To our Stage Artz family –

What a strange and unexpected year we are all having!  We hope you and your families have all been keeping safe and warm during this time.

Australia has done incredibly well in its effort to contain the Coronavirus. Consequently, we have been advised that restrictions have eased enough for us to resume Stage Artz classes at the beginning of next term!!!

We will need to follow the NSW Health guidelines, which means that students who are unwell must stay at home, students will be required to wash/sanitise hands before and during class… and we must adhere to social distancing rules.

There will be a strict limit to the number of students permitted in each class.  To secure a place in the class of your choice, students will need to RE-ENROL for 2020 (click here).  Enrolments will be taken on a “first come, first served” basis.  We will try our very best to accommodate everyone and, if necessary, we will try to add extra classes and split classes into smaller groups. However, to keep everyone safe, it is important that we follow the per square metre rule, so it is possible that we may not have enough space in some timeslots/rooms to accommodate everyone.  If we need to adjust your time/venue/class to follow restrictions, we will contact you via email.  If you miss out on a place in the class, we will put you on a waiting list and contact you as soon as a spot becomes available.  To keep it fair, students who are not up to date with fees will not be considered for placement in the class.

Term 3 invoices will be sent out upon receipt of enrolment, and fees must be paid during the student’s first week of class.  Students/parents who paid their Term One fees in full are due for re-imbursement.  They will have the option of either attending a special workshop to make up for the lost class time, or receiving a 3 week reduction in their Term Three fees.  The workshop will be held in Term 3…dates/details will be announced on our website soon so that families can choose the option that suits them best.

Due to Coronavirus restrictions, we have recently decided not to offer any trial lessons for the remainder of this year.  New students can choose either to enrol in the class this year, or wait until 2021 if they would prefer to try out the lessons.  Our apologies to anyone who was hoping to do trial lessons this term.

Some good news regarding vouchers!  The government has recently announced that Active Kids Vouchers from the first half of 2020 can now be used for Terms 2/3 (along with the voucher you can obtain for the second half of the year).  Students may use one Active Kids voucher in Term 3 and the other Active Kids voucher in Term 4, giving them a total of $200 in government assistance for Stage Artz classes between July and December.  Creative Kids Vouchers ($100) can also be applied to Stage Artz classes (one each year).

We are waiting to find out if restrictions will allow us to stage any performances/concerts at the end of 2020.  If at all possible, we will produce a show of some kind this year.  At the very least, students will have the opportunity to perform for parents in their final class at the end of the year.  We will keep students/parents up to date with performance plans as the situation develops and restrictions ease.  Don’t worry… if we are unable to stage a big show this year, our teachers and students will just save up all of their talent, energy and passion for an even BIGGER production in 2021!

Get ready, everyone!  WE’RE BACK!!!
We can’t wait to see you all in class.  We have missed you.
