In 2024, we’re taking you back… under the sea!
Each year, the Stage Artz School and Stage Artz Theatre Company combine to produce a family musical, with all profits donated to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Stage Artz Charity Musicals have currently raised $350,000 for the kids at Westmead, making Stage Artz an official Hospital Benefactor. Eight years ago, Stage Artz produced THE LITTLE MERMAID, and it was one of our most popular and successful shows to date. Since then, we have had many requests to bring Ariel and her friends back to the Glen Street Theatre stage.
SO… this year, we are extremely proud and excited to have the opportunity to continue our fundraising efforts with a return season of THE LITTLE MERMAID! Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories (and the classic animated Disney film), the stage production of The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for all ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl,” and “Part of Your World.”
